For the next couple of months, join me (and McCormick Grill Mates) as we work together to help make this summer your best BBQ’ing summer ever! There’s grilling tips, recipes and lots of new products to help you get your grill on and be the BBQ king, or queen, of your friends and neighbors. Wouldn’t you love to find a place where you could learn others secret tips for their grilling success? Maybe you could even share one or two of your own. Well, now you can…and you don’t even have to leave your chair to do it. You’re part of the Grillerhood now. So what is the Grillerhood? The Grillerhood is a one-stop grilling resource where YOU will help to create the ultimate grilling guidebook: “True Rules of Grilling.” Through real-time conversation, Facebook polls and expert input, the “True Rules of Grilling” will compile the wisdom and tried and true secrets from you, the grill masters of your domain, into the first-ever, definitive compendium of how, what and why to grill. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that besides learning all kinds of new grilling tricks, you could win some pretty awesome prizes? This is my #1 rule when grilling: Don’t use a sharp object to flip grilled meats or to check for doneness. You let all the juices out. This one little grilling tip has made such a huge difference in my grilling results. You want to keep all those juices inside the meat. Another trick, really kind of an offshoot of this one is: let the grilled meat rest for 10 minutes before cutting into it. This helps the juices to re-distribute in the meat. If you cut into it too soon, they all run out. What’s your greatest grilling tip? Let me know in the comments below. By the way, you can join the movement and become a member of The Grillerhood at www.Facebook.com/GrillMates. For more grilling tips, techniques, recipes and inspiration, visit www.GrillMates.com. Oh, and there’s going to be a great grilling giveaway, here, coming up for you very soon. So get those tips in and get out there and grill something!
