An Easy Thanksgiving Cocktail Recipe

Halloween’s done and gone and now we’re careening towards Christmas…at least that’s what the TV commercials would have us believing. But there’s a whole other holiday in between the two – Thanksgiving! And I’ve got a Thanksgiving cocktail recipe that’s going to make pretty much every one of your guests happy.

This cocktail recipe is perfect to serve before or during dinner. The herbs and citrus will mix really nicely with the turkey and trimmings gracing your table. Plus, you could use this cocktail recipe as your signature cocktail for the day. It’s perfect for those people who don’t want to drink wine, but want something alcoholic to drink. Having a signature cocktail will help to make your Thanksgiving preparations easier because you don’t have to go out and stock an entire bar. I’m a big proponent of having a signature drink when having a big gathering.

Thanksgiving Cocktail Recipe

This Thanksgiving cocktail is super easy to mix up and it’s got lots of Fall flavors in it. The base liqueur is Amaro Lucano and you mix it with ginger beer and just a touch of pineapple juice for some added sweetness.

You may not be familiar with Amaro Lucano, but it’s an Italian liqueur that’s been around since 1894. It’s made from over 30 herbs and essential oils, but it doesn’t have an overpowering herby flavor. All those herbs and oils give you a smooth and delicious tasting libation that mixes really nicely with lots of things and tastes just as good over a few ice cubes. It’s also got great flavors that would go nicely in baked goods. You know, like mixing it into some of that creamy icing that tops your famous cinnamon rolls. Or add a dash to your pumpkin pie recipe. Perfect!

Why not pick up a bottle of Lucano and make up a glass or two. You know…for research purposes for your dinner. Then you can be prepared for your guests and all the compliments you’ll be receiving for serving something so delicious with your fantastic meal.

I would think the Italian’s drink Amaro Lucano as an after dinner drink similiar to Amaretto, seems a waste to mix it , in my opinon !

Like mixing Jack Daniel’s or Knob Creek with coke !

You’re correct Noble. The Italians drink it straight before and/or after dinner. However, they do also mix it in cocktails. It’s a very popular Italian liqueur.
