Frozen Mango Margarita

This frozen mango margarita is so easy to make. A frozen mango margarita is a bright and delicious cocktail to help celebrate Cinco de Mayo!

Cinco de Mayo is on a Friday this year, so that makes having a party that much easier. This frozen mango margarita is a perfect addition for your party. They’re really easy to make and one cocktail is a good serving of fruit for you. 😉

I’ve just recently become a fan of frozen margaritas. I never used to like them. I would stick to fresh fruit margaritas on the rocks. I usually find them to be too icy to really enjoy the margarita itself. But since I got a really good blender (a Vitamix) I’ve gotten so that I like a frozen margarita when I make them. The blender does a really great job of blending up the frozen fruit and ice cubes into really fine ice crystals. No big lumps or crunchy crystals.

I use bagged frozen mangoes. You could dice up fresh mango and freeze them, but I’ve found that the frozen mangoes from the store taste just as good. Plus, who doesn’t like the ease of just cutting open a bag, pouring it into the blender and being on your way to cocktail nirvana? I don’t have a special brand that I prefer and I’ve tried many different brands. I’ve had good results with all of them.

These mango margaritas are really easy to make. There’s only 6 ingredients (if you include ice cubes as an ingredient) standing between you and and a refreshing cup of yumminess. Even though these are frozen margaritas, I still use Curacao in the drink. It adds another flavor dimension to the cocktail so it doesn’t taste flat.

It’s time to start whipping up a batch of frozen mango margaritas. The weather’s warming up and it’s Cinco de Mayo…time to break out that blender and tequila!
