Mango Daiquiri

Mango Daiquiri

A tropical mango daiquiri will have you dreaming of being on a far away island enjoying the balmy breezes and sand between your toes.

This mango daiquiri is a quick and easy treat to make for your weekend enjoyment. It’s not a frozen daiquiri, but the kind of daiquiri Ernest Hemingway would have enjoyed while wasting away the day in the Keys.

I made this mango daiquiri with homemade mango infused rum, but you could buy ready made mango rum. The flavored rums are getting to be almost as numerous as the flavored vodkas now. I like to make my own flavored liquors because it’s easy and I can make just what I need. I only planned on making a couple of these daiquiris so I didn’t want to spend the money on a big bottle of mango flavored rum only to have the bottle linger in the back of the cupboard. I’ve got enough bottles in there already. 😉

I’ve included the directions for making flavored rum in the notes section of the recipe. You’ll find it to be super easy.

We enjoyed these daiquiri’s while we were sitting poolside enjoying some of the last nice weather here in Texas. In about another week the weather is going to go from warm to downright HOT!

Whip up a batch of this easy mango daiquiri and let your thoughts drift away to a sunny/tropical place.
