Cucumber Margarita

Cucumber Margarita

The taste of fresh cucumber in a margarita is a refreshing change. This cucumber margarita comes together in minutes.

I’m so happy it’s finally Friday. Did anybody else think this week dragged on far too long?

Today I’m kicking back with a cucumber margarita. I know that might sound a little strange, but the fresh taste of cucumber in the margarita is really good. And right now I’ve got a refrigerator full of cucumbers. So I’m looking for lots of different ways to use them.

The traditional margarita has quite a bit of a tart twang to it. This one still has some tartness, but it’s mellowed a bit from the addition of St. Germaine. I know, that sounds a bit weird too…St. Germaine and tequila, but it works.

I’ve got quite a few cucumber cocktails on this blog. Recently I posted a cucumber gimlet. I made that one when I had basil coming out of my ears.

It’s fun to play around with ingredients you have an abundance of. I especially like playing around with cocktails. This cucumber margarita is definitely staying in my “go to” cocktails.

What ingredient do you have in abundance right now?
