Use your slow cooker to wake up to a hot and steamy bowl of steel cut oatmeal on those chilly winter mornings. Top it off with your favorite toppings.
Recipe type: Breakfast
Cuisine: American
Serves: 2-4
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 4¾ cups almond milk
  1. Pour oats and almond milk into the slow cooker and give it a good stir.
  2. Place the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours.
  3. If you don't have a timer on your slow cooker, use one of those lamp timers and plug your slow cooker into that. Now you can set the time it starts and stops cooking.
I topped my oatmeal with cashew butter, almonds, bananas and honey. This recipe is set up so you can top your bowl with your favorite toppings.
