This North Carolina sauce recipe pairs perfectly with my pulled pork recipe. Remember, it's spicy...so use sparingly.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup distilled white vinegar
  • few dashes of hot sauce (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
  1. Add all ingredients to a small pot.
  2. Heat over medium high heat and stir until salt has dissolved.
  3. Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.
  4. Serve.
