S'mores bars so ooey gooey good you won't believe how easy they are to make. A crunchy base topped with chocolate ganache and toasted marshmallow.
Recipe type: Dessert
Cuisine: American
Serves: 16
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 2½ cups old fashioned rolled oats
  • ¾ cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1½ cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 13 ounce jar marshmallow fluff
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, add the cake mix and oats then stir to combine.
  3. Pour in the butter and mix to thoroughly combine the ingredients.
  4. Dump the mixture into a 9"x13" pan and evenly spread the mixture out. Press the mixture into the pan.
  5. Bake for 20 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool.
  7. Pour the cream into a heavy bottomed sauce pan and heat just until bubbles form around the edges.
  8. Pour over chocolate chips and let sit for 2 minutes.
  9. Whisk to thoroughly combine the chocolate and the cream to form the ganache.
  10. Once the base has cooled, you can spread the ganache evenly over the base. Let sit so that the ganache has time to set up. I let it sit 1-2 hours.
  11. Spread the marshmallow cream evenly over the top of the ganache.
  12. Let the marshmallow sit for about 10 minutes so that the top smooths out.
  13. Now you can torch the top to toast the marshmallow. If you choose to put it under the broiler, watch it closely because it can go from raw to burned very quickly.
  14. Cut into bars and serve
Cut into bars just before serving because the marshmallow will spread.
