The Frozen Negroni for Summer Drinking
Prep time
Total time
The frozen negroni is what you're looking for to cool off on these stifling hot summer days. A bite of bitter and that cool ice is the perfect refresher.
Recipe type: Drinks
Cuisine: Italian
Serves: 4
  • 4 ounces gin (I used Tanqueray)
  • 3 ounces sweet vermouth
  • 3 ounces Campari
  • 3 cups of ice cubes
  • orange (cut into wedges for serving)
  1. If you think to make these ahead of time, mix the gin, vermouth and Campari into a small container and pop it in the freezer overnight. This thickens the liquids and makes it blend really nicely with the ice. It won't freeze because of the alcohol that's in it.
  2. Add the ice to your blender then pour the liquids in.
  3. Cover the blender and blitz until the ice is all the same consistency.
  4. Pour into glasses and serve with an orange wedge.
