Grab a bottle of beer and make a delicious loaf of beer bread. Six ingredients and one hour is all you need for this delicious treat.

  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 ounce bottle of beer
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted (plus extra butter for coating pan)
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl add all of the dry ingredients and stir to thoroughly combine.
  3. Slowly add beer to the bowl of dry ingredients and stir until all the ingredients are wet and thoroughly combined.
  4. Butter the sides and bottom of a 9" x 4" loaf pan.
  5. Spoon the batter into the buttered loaf pan and evenly spread the dough into the pan.
  6. Slide pan into the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes. Top should be dry looking and butter is no longer visible.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool.
