Cucumber Basil Citrus Gimlet

Cucumber Basil Citrus Gimlet

This cucumber basil citrus gimlet takes the summer’s best produce and mixes it up with tangy citrus for a lively summer cocktail.

As summer rolls on, the cucumbers and basil are starting to take over. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got a single basil bush that’s 3 feet tall. That’s a lot of basil. And let’s face it…you can only make so much pesto. So why not cocktails?

This cucumber basil citrus gimlet is a summer stunner! I love it because it’s so simple to make but has so many different flavors in it. It’s also a cocktail that you can make into a batch cocktail for a party. Batch cocktails rule, because you don’t need to spend the entire party playing bartender. Just direct your guests over to the iced pitchers and you get to enjoy the party too.

I like to serve this gimlet with a lime wheel, but you could use a lemon wheel or a sprig of basil. Given all the basil I have…that’s probably what I should use. 😉

Just thought I’d make this another quick and simple post for the summer. Whip up some of this cucumber basil citrus gimlet and kick back and enjoy your weekend!
