“The end of a melody is not its goal: but nonetheless, had the melody not reached its end it would not have reached its goal either. A parable.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche
You may have guessed by the title of this post what it is going to be about. But it’s not just about endings, but new beginnings as well.
My time with MyMansBelly has drawn to a close. I’ve had just shy of 10 amazing years running it (and sometimes IT running me). But now the time has come that I must end the site.
I am starting a new job back in my old career of sales and with all the travel, just will not have the time to keep up the blog. This is something that I am actually looking forward to. I’m excited to get back out there meet with people and work with more deadlines, have quotas and meetings. It’s going to be a big change from coming to work in pj’s and yoga pants though, that’s for sure!
I’ve had a great run here on the blog and achieved many goals. I’ve made friends while blogging, made a bit of a living off of it, tried some amazing products and written 5 cookbooks. The latter of this list I never thought I would do.
I plan on leaving the blog up for a month or so, that way you can pull/print any recipes you may want to save. See, the internet isn’t always forever. It’s as long as you pay your hosting bill. 😉
I hope you’ve all enjoyed reading this blog as much as I’ve enjoyed writing and cooking for it.
To all of my readers, I wish you the best.
Welcome to My Man's Belly! Leave me a comment and let me know what you think about the site or if there's a recipe you'd like to see here. Have a great day.
Congrats on reinventing yourself – you GO! I’m hoping you will answer a quick question for me before you run off to corporate-land :-).
I received your book The Coconut Oil companion as a Christmas gift – lucky me! I made the recipe on page 149 Moisturizing Face Cream and all I can say is WOW, it’s amazing! I feel like I have brand new skin on my face – silky smooth. LOVE IT!
Question: After I made it I put it in the refrigerator to firm back to solid. I used it before I went to bed and it was solid (like coconut oil is) but when I woke up and saw it on my counter it was liquid. Hmmm Shouldn’t this moisturizer be solid? What could I have done wrong?
Thanks Pamela! Best of luck to you with your new adventure!
Erin
Hi Erin,
Sounds like it just warmed up and the coconut oil melted. I’d keep it in the fridge. Thanks for the kind words. I’m so glad you like the cream. 🙂
Sounds like a fun new adventure! Congrats, and best of luck. Very sorry to see you go, but glad I had the chance to get to know you, virtually at least.
Thanks John!
Hi!! I’ve been a lurker and follower for quite a while. I haven’t said anything until now. Thank you for all the wonderful recipes and inspiration you’ve been to me and my blog. I remember reading “Do what you love and the money will follow.” I think it’s more important to do just what you love. The money is a gift, a bonus. I wish you the very best — I’m sure you’ll find it.
Thanks for the kind words Marisa.
All the best Pamela – I’m so very happy to have had you in my feed! xo
Thanks for bringing me into your feed for all these years Debra.
Good luck and have fun.
Thanks Judy!

I will miss your posts and great recipes, many of which I’ve made and shared, always to many compliments. But I’m so happy you got the job you wanted. All the best on this new path of your journey!
Thanks Kathy! Make sure you download the recipes. 😉
I have a few of your books and have enjoyed your recipes both in your books and in your blog. But, can’t believe that I have been following you for that many years. So, not Good-Bye but take care and Good Luck!
Thank you Rosalie! And thanks for buying my books. 🙂
